	Our company, Woodenboat USA™ a division of OMH Inc., has been designing and building wooden kayak, wooden canoe, wooden boat and other watercraft of the highest quality for more than thirty years. Please explore the pages on our website and you will see for yourself the elegance and beauty of our products. We use a method of handmade construction while integrating the highest quality materials currently available. Thanks to years of research and development, our cedar strip watercraft are not only beautiful but also perform very well on the water. How can we achieve this? All of our canoes, kayaks and other watercraft are assembled from strips of top grade Canadian cedar which is soft and light weight yet very strong, and then encapsulated in fiberglass with epoxy resin. Using these materials and construction techniques creates a beautiful, strong and very durable craft. Each wooden boat requires hundreds of hours of labor from start to creation of the quality finished product. Often we have boats in stock but if not there will be a period of time before delivery.


The names of our wooden canoe, wooden kayak and watercraft are derived from the traditional northern waterways where these types of boats have been used by natives and settlers for centuries. The designs of these crafts although similar have been improved to take advantage of the improvements in technology and construction. We have the capability of building single design watercraft. Recently with that capability we have worked with several customers to build sailboats and powerboats of different designs and configurations.
